Graveside services were held June 19, 1990 at the Amistad Cemetery in Amistad, New Mexico. Jack grew up in Leedey and attended grade school in Eureka and High School in Leedey. At the age of sixteen he moved with his parents, to Amistad. During the depression years, Jack managed ranches in Oregon, Washington and Montana. He joined the army and served in World War II from 1941-1945. He received an honorable discharge and was a member of the D.A.V. in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. He later was a barber in Andrews, Texas. In 1961, he married his wife, Dolly. They moved to Arkansas and were engage in buying and selling farms and ranches. Jack had a great love for music and enjoyed playing his "fiddle" and other instruments. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Lou Ricketson and three brothers, Ivie, Monroe and Homer. Survivors include his wife, Dollie, of the home; a son and a daughter, grandchildren, great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, other relatives and a host of friends.
