Services were held on Thursday at the Baptist church in Cheyenne, Rev. Lloyd Martin and Rev. Earl Bengs officiating. Jess was born March 3, 1911 in Texas and had resided in Cheyenne since 1929. He was married to May Pittaway in England in January 1944. He was a member of the Cheyenne Baptist church and was a veteran of World War II. Survivors are three daughters, Linda, Rita and Brenda of Cheyenne, one son, David of Oklahoma City, two brothers and four sisters. Interment was in the Cheyenne cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under direction of the Scroggins and son Funeral Home. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
