James Roy, the son of J.C. and Theresa Rogers, started school in Cheyenne. He later moved with his parents to Sayre in 1968 where he attended and graduated with the class of 1975. He graduated from the University of Houston, Texas. He then moved to Downey, California in 1987 where he was employed with Rockwell. In October of 1990 he moved to Oklahoma City to make his home. He has been a member of the Sayre United Methodist Church for a number of years. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother and grandfather as well as his maternal grandfather. He is survived by his parents: J.C. and Theresa Rogers of Sayre; his maternal grandmother, Ora Lee Mercer, also of Sayre; 1 sister, Liz Stewart of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; 1 brother, John Rogers of Sayre, Oklahoma; and a host of other relatives and friends. Memorial services were Wednesay, March 27, 1991 at 2:00 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Sayre, with David Clewell officiating. Interment was in the Sayre-Doxey Cemetery, Sayre, Beckham County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Sayre. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
