Phil Collard and B.B. Stevens officiated. Burial was the Rose Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were Steve Lehrman, Dr. Kris Truitt, Larry Jenkins, Greg Campbell, Craig Reed and Don Marshall. Alta Mae died March 27, 1992 in a Ft. Worth hospital. She was born at Osceola, Texas August 9, 1920, the daughter of William Jesse and Idell McKeever Riley. Alta came to Oklahoma with her parents in 1926. She attended the Crawford and Cheyenne public schools. In 1936 she went to Cleburne and lived with a brother for several years. She married Edward Reed, July 22, 1941. He preceded her in death January 2, 1977. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one son Jimmy lynn in February 1962. Three brothers and one sister. She was a retired sales person for Sear; a member of Central Church of Christ of Cleburne, Texas where she taught Bible School for 42 years. She is survived by one son Riley Reed of Ozone Park, New York; two daughters Mrs. Jerry (Linda) Price of Cleburne and Mrs. J.C. (Sonya) Tribble of Hurst, Texas; three step-sons, one brother Tom Riley of Dumas, Texas; three sisters Lois Thomas, Hazel Malson of Cheyenne, Oklahoma and Gerri Saiz of Farmington, New Mexico; three grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren; eight step great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
