"Bob" Rule, 84, of Amarillo, died Tuesday, Jan. 20, 1998. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Friona Cemetery at Friona with the Rev. Rob Lackey, director of pastoral care at Park Central, officiating. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors, 2820 Virginia Circle. Mr. Rule was born in Roger Mills County, Okla., and was a longtime Texas Panhandle resident. He moved to Amarillo in 1980. He was involved in farming before retiring. He was a member of Friona United Methodist Church, the Bovina Masonic Lodge and the Khiva Temple. Survivors include his wife, Bertha L. Rule; a daughter, Bobbe Zane of Amarillo; a sister, Myrtle Deaton of Lubbock; three brothers, Bud Rule of Brownsville, Jim Rule of Friona and Boots Rule of Cortez, Colo.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. The family requests memorials be to Khiva Temple, Box 328, Amarillo, Texas 79105.
