"Dub" Riley Jr., 69 of Amarillo, Texas, died on Friday December 6, 2002. Memorial services and rosary were held at the Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel with Deacon Terry Pevehouse of St. Thomas and the Apostle Catholic Church, officiating. Graveside services were held at the Dumas Cemetery, Dumas, Texas. Mr. Riley was born in Durham, Oklahoma on November 17, 1933. He moved to Dumas in 1940 and graduated from Dumas High School in 1952. He moved to Amarillo in1956 working for the united States Postal Service as a letter-carrier, supervisor and station manager before moving to Borger as Postmaster in 1976, remaining there until his retirement in 1988, having a total of 34 years of service. He was a past member of the Lions Club, Kiwanis, Toastmasters and various civic organizations. He wasa retired member of NAPUS and a member of the National Association of Retired Federal Employees of America. He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Chcurch. He married Nina Mills of Dumas in 1954, and she preceded him in death in January, 1988. W.T. was loved by many and all whose paths he crossed. He will be truly missed by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Zenobia Riley in 1986. Survivors include his wife, Joan, a son, Jerry Riley and wife, Kristy, of Arvada, Colorado, a daughter, Terri Comer and husband, Dr. Ken Comer of Amarillo, Texas, a stepdaughter, Leslie Sibley of Amarillo,Texas; his dad, "Tom" Riley of Amarillo; four grandsons, Michael Riley of Arvada, Shea and Ryan Comer of Dallas and Landon Comer of Lubbock, Texas; and a granddaughter, Stefanie Riley of Arvada. Those attending the funeral from this area were his aunts, Lois Thomas and Gerri Saiz and his uncle Loel Briggs. Cousins attendin were Leon and Janet Malson, Loree Summers and Darla O'Hair.
