Riley, December 23, 1872, in Jack county, Texas. As a young man he came to Crawford, Oklahoma. In the year of 1905, at Canadian, Texas, he was united in marriage to Lizzie Sullivan, who had twin daughters, Vera and Cora. To this union were born two sons, Debs and Alston. Joe farmed in the Durham and Craawford communities. In 1920, after a lingering illness, Lizzie was laid to rest. While rearing two sons Joe farmed and worked as road maintainer. In 1939 he was united in marriage to Maude Roarbaugh. During the last 15 years they made their home in Cheyenne where she preceded him in death December 22, 1957. Joe died May 1, 1958 was 85 years, 3 months, 18 days of age. He leaves to mourn his passing his sons, Debs Riley of Perryton, Texas, and Alston Riley of Suisun, California; a step-daughter, Cera Ridgeway of Palmdale, Clifornia; a stepson, Albert Roarbaugh of Borger, Texas; a sister, Liddy Lemmons of Lone Wolf, Oklahoma; grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces and a host of friends.
