Aubrey suffered a heart attack and departed this life, at the age of 86, on June 16, 2001 at the North Austin Medical Center, Austin, Texas. She married Geno Ooley "Buck" Buchanan on June 9, 1940, in Woodward, Oklahoma. Aubrey alwasy called herself a "business woman" and spent most of her adult life in retail clothing sales, working at J.C. Penny's and Newcomb's Department Store in Woodward. After Buck returned from fightin in the Pacific during World War II, she and Buck co-owned Crump's Dry Goods for several years in Follett, Texas. They returned to Woodward and, together, built Buck's Toggery, a popular children's-wear store, Aubrey continued to run several years after Buck passed away on October 25, 1961. On Mary 6, 1966 she married Lester G. Rounds of Leedey, Oklahoma, who preceded her in death on January 6, 2000. They had many happy years on the farm, with their friends in their travel trailer, and in their church at Leedey and, later stayed in their home as long as their health allowed. Since October of 1997, Aubrey lived at the Duval Oaks Assisted Living Ceneter of Austin, Texas, where she quickly became well known as a style-setter and the "best dressed." She was on the hospitality committee and helped plan and baked cookies for many of the social events. She had just spent Memorial Day weekend with the family in her grandson's home in Huston and had a wonderful time. Aubrey Maxine Buchanan Rounds was preceded in death by both of her parents, two brothers, Beuford and Oran Collins; and her sister Era Collins Bailey. She is survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Ruth and Harold Irwin, Hammon, Oklahoma, her son, Keith Buchanan and daughter-in-law, Lyndal, of Austin, Texas, and her step-son Dean Rounds and wife, Darlene of Livingston, Texas; her grandchildren, Buck and Danita Buchanan, Tad Buchanan, Renee and Steve Casey, Jamie Rounds, Kevin Rounds, and Beth and Bob Walls; great grandchildren, Jordan Buchanan, Makena and Jenna Buchanan, Megan and Bryan Casey, Angela Rounds, Gregg Rounds, Jake Clawson, Katy and Jeremy Walls; and one great great grandchild, Hayden Casey, along with her nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends in Woodward, Leedey, surrounding areas, and the Duval Oaks Assisted Living Center. Funeral services were at 2:30 P.M. Sunday, June 24, 2001 at the United Methodist Church in Leedey, Oklahoma. Burial followed in the Elmwood Cemtery at Woodward, Oklahoma.
