Ray Redden was about 53 years of age at the time of his death. He came to Oklahoma thirty-one years ago and established a home. He has made this country his home practically all of the time, though he spent some of this time in Arkansas and Colorado. He underwent an operation about a year ago for cancer of the stomach, but the dread disease kept up its avenge on his body until finally the end came. Funeral services were held in Durham Tuesday morning in presence of a very large crowd. The Odd Fellows at Durham performed the final rites of the order at the Pie Flat Cemetery where his remains were laid to rest. Ray Redden is a brother of J. C. Redden, a prominent citizen of Durham. Ray was engaged in business in Cheyenne in 1893 and 1904. He was a man of whom it could truly be said he numbered his friends by his acquaintances for he certainly stood high in the esteem of his fellow man.
