A few days before his death he was in perfect health and it was a surprise to all who knew him to learn of his sudden demise. He was known as "Red Reed" and was the most popular cowboy in Oklahoma. His disposition was that of a woman. Honest, honorable and generous to a fault; loved by all who knew him; young in years, with a perfect physique. When the Master called he arose from his prairie couch, saddled his pony, gathered up his larriet, swung into the saddle and as the settingh sun reflected its light over the darkedning east pointed his faithful pony's headed toward the setting sun and slowly rode over the Divide. May his camp-fire ever shine for those that follow.
