Wednesday. Another fatal accident occured Tuesday night about ten o'clock on the State Highway between Crawford and Cheyenne when George Rorabaugh was knocked from the running board of a Dodge roadster by a passing truck, breaking both legs and causing other injuries whicfh resulted in his death at 2 a.m. Wednesday. The accident occured on State Highway No. 24 at a point eight miles north of Cheyenne, at about 10 o'clock Tuesday night. R.H. Hutton, Rolly Shaller and Herbert Phillips of Canadian had arranged with Lee Flue of Crawford to bring them to Cheyenne and George Rorabaugh was coming along with the boys in order to accompany Lee Flue back home. The party left Crawford about nine o'clock in a Dodge roadster and had just turned the corner comingg south before reaching what is known as the Scott corner when they met a truck which was traveling north. The boys state that their car had good lights and that they gave their part of the road but that the truck failed to give enough of the road to let the car pass, and as George Rorabaugh was riding on the running board of the car on the right sided, he was struck by the truck and knocked from the running board of the car. They state that they ran a short distance before they could stop and that the truck kept driving. The boys brough young Rorabough to town where medical aid was administered, but the shock proved too great and he passed away about 2 o'clock Wednesdsay morning about four hours after the accident. Lee Flue, the driver of the car is the son of George Flue of near Crawford. George Rorabaugh who was killed, was the son of Jim Rorabaugh of near Crawford, R.H. Hutton, Herbert Phillips and Rolly Shaller are three boys who reside at Canadian, Texas. Rolly Shaller is the youngest brother of C.C. Shaller who is well known in this community, having resided in the old Redmoon vicinity for several years up until last year when they removed to Canadian. The driver of the tuck is unknown as he did not stop to lend aid to the wounded boy, and has never let his idenify be known. Geo. Rorabaugh was eighteen years of age, and had lived in the Crawford community most of his life. He was a nephew of Kay Robertss of Cheyenne. His, remains were laid to rest in Fairview cemetery, Durham, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma Wednesday afternoon.
