Spivey was born April the 6, 1879 in Hunt County, Texas. He was united in marriage to Miss Ada Puckett in 1900 and to this union were born three children, two girls and one boy. H.M. of Cheyenne, Oklahoma, Mrs. J.M. Jones of Lindsay, Oklahoma, Mrs. J.L. Berry, Texola, Oklahoma. He departed this life February 25, 1938. He leaves to mourn his passing his dear wife, two daughters and one son. Brother Spivey fought a hard fight. He fought as a good soldier on the battlefield would fight. He was brave to the end of the way. His last hours became his brightest ones. He was permitted to llok beyond the gloom that had so ov ershadowed his life and made it dark about him. His last concern was not of himself but of those who walked in darkness, and the shadow of death without the aid of a Savior like his. How his heart went out for those he knew that were lost without God and without hope. When the hour came for him to lay down the working tools of life, he gladly stacked his arms, and fell into that dreamless sleep that kisses down the eyelids still. His voice is forever stilled among us, but he lives on high where sickness, sorrow and death never comes. May God's richest blessings be upon his dear wife and his loving children.
