Lois moved east of Roll in Roger Mills County and attended Five Star School. She graduated from Crawford High School and was a nurse at the Newman Memorial Hopsital in Shattuck. She moved to Collidge, Arizona during World War II where she was a bookkeeper for a cotton gin. Lois returned from Arizona the same day that Louis Sprowls returned from the war and they were married on June 5, 1946 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. To this union two children were born, Danny onf August 15, 1947 and Dianne on March 25, 1950. They lived just east of Cheyenne before moving to Lodi, California for five years. They moved back to Cheyenne in 1960 to make their home. Lois and Louis were baptized in 1953 in a lake on the Sturgeon Ranch and she was a member of the Cheyenne Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 brother, Harold Beals. She is survived by her husband, louis, of the home; 1 daughter and son-in-law, Dianne and Thomas Wayland of College Station, Texas; 1 son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Pat Sprowls of Elk City, Oklahoma; 2 sisters, Pearl Lacey of Elk City, Oklahoma and Bernice Smith of Pampa, Texas; 3 brothers, Jim Beals of Norman, Oklahoma, Loyd Beals of Sweetwater, Oklahoma and Ray Beals of Strong City, Oklahoma; 5 grandchildren, Brock and Brett Savage, Bryan, Ellise and Megan Sprowls and host of other relatives and friends. Services were held Friday, December 16, 1994 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cheyenne Church of Christ, Willard Cox officiated. Interment in Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, OK. Pallbearers were: Gary Belas, Floyd Atha, Lonnie Beals, Billy Baden, Chuch Emory, Shelvie Tabb, Tommy Smith. Rose Chapel Funeral Service of Cheyenne was in charge of arrangements.
