All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm ========================================================================== Surnames: Sprowls, Cronin, Cook Originally posted at: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/5YB.2ACE/6328 Mrs. Winn Sprowls who for years has resided east of here in the Square Top neighborhood, passed away in a hospital in Elk City Thursday morning, November 28, 1922 after a short but serious illness of kidney trouble. Mrs. Sprowls came to this country in an early day and had formed a large acquaintanceship all of whom were her friends. She was an earnest worker in her community and will be greatly missed by her neighbors. She was a true friend and all that a wife and mother could be and in the capacity her place can never be filled. A large crowd gathered at this Methodist Church Friday afternoon for the funeral service which were conducted by Rev. Barrett of the church. Mrs. Sprowls was an early christian and a member of the Methodist church. Burial was made in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma. Those who are left to mourn this loss of this loved one who has passed into the Great Beyond are the husband, four sons, Jim Sprowls and Walter Sprowls of this city, Mrs. Helen Cook who makes her home with them, W.A. Cronin who resides in the Square Top community, and Jack Cronin of Texola, together with their families and many friends. The family has the sympanthy of the town and the community in which they lived during this thier hour of sorrow.
