He departed this life November 3, 1997 at Cordell Memorial Hospital at the age of 57 years, 11 months, and 2 days. A construction supervisor, Dale was employed by Anadarko Dozer Service. He was united in marriage to Arlene McCoy December 1, 1967 at Pampa, Texas. To this union 3 daughters were born. He had lived in this area for 30 years, moving from Sayre. A member of the Church of the Brethern in Leedey, Dale also farmed, and raised cattle. He enjoyed golf, roping horses and gardening. His mother preceded him in death. Survivors include his wife, Arlene of the home; father, Glen Shockey of Leedey; daughters, Terry Pool of Cordell, Lisa Neeley of Cordell and Tricia Lawson of Clinton; 2 brothers, Linville of Cordell and Joe of Dumas, Texas; 3 sisters, Mary Ann Stigleman of Elk City, Glenna Fowler of Leedey and Juanita Courtney of Elk City; 7 grandchildren, justin and Dustin Pool, Kristin Neeley, Brandon Neeley, Chad Pool, Hunter Kliewer and Garrett Lawson; other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, November 6, 1997 at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Cordell.
