Burial will be in the Dewey Cemetery under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City. Robert Lee Shockey was born February 7, 1944 at Moorewood to John Shockey and Lela Boyer and died Tuesday at the age of 55. He attended Leedey and Hammon Schools before serving his country in the US Navy. After his discharge, Robert returned to Western Oklahoma where he worked in the oilfield. He was preceded in death by his father, three brothers, and one sister. Survivors include: his mother, Lela Powell of the Leedey home; three daughters, two sons; one brother, Johnny Shockey of Leedey; one sister, Clarice Davis of Broger, Texas; and one half brother, Lloyd Powell, Jr. of Leedey.
