She departed this life on November 14, 1965 at Bolivar, Missouri, at the age of 68 years, 1 month and 18 days. On January 28, 1926, she was united in marriage with E.G. Stephens at Hammon, Oklahoma, and to this union four children were born. Two brrothers and one sister preceded her in deah. Mrs. Stephens is survived by her husband: E.G.; 2 daughters: Mrs. Mary Jo White of Clinton, Missouri and Juliabel Christian of Kansas City, Missouri; two sons: Lee D. Stephens of Tokyo, Japan; (Other son not listed) one brother: W.S. Hiatt, of Hammon, Oklahoma, one sister: Mrs. Tom Wood of Orange, California; and seven grandchildren. She was a member of the Buffalo Bible Baptist Church. Funeral services were held Tuesday, November 16, 1965, at 10:30 a.m. in the Montgomery Funeral Chapel with the Rev. George Pool officiating. Mrs. Jo Ann Viets sang "Farther Along" and "In the Garden" accompanied by Mrs. Thelma Montgomery. Escorts were: Bill Bradley, Ernest Mead, David Marshall, Russell Rose, Jack Viles and Irvin Williams. Interment was in Prairie Grove Cemetery under the direction of the Montgomery Funeral Home of Buffalo.
