Stice will be conducted 2 p.m., Satrurday at the Moorewood Baptist Church with Rev. Anthony Pennington and Rev. Richard Hughesx officiating. Interment will follow in the Moorwood Cemetery under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City, Oklahoma. John Henry Stice was born October 14, 1936, at Roger Mills County to Paul "Jake" and Olivia Sharp Stice and died at his home Thursday October 1, 1998 at the age of 61. He graduated from Hammon High School. He lived in Oklahoma City where he was a supervisor with Western Electric until 1876 when he returned to the Leedey-Moorewood area where he has farmed and ranched since. He was marrried to Betty Huffman on September 28, 1973, at Del City. J.H. was a member of the Moorewood Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his mother, Olivia Stice. Survivors include his wife, Betty Stice of the Leedey home; four daughters, Rhonda Wells and Krista Martin of Oklahoma City, Maria Beavers of Waynesboro, Tennessee and Sharla Kauk of Leedey and 10 grandchildren.
