Anthony Pennington and Rev. Gary Southard officiating. Burial followed in the Moorewood Cemetery, under the directionj of the Martin Funeral Home. She was born to W.L. and Beulah Sharp, May 27, 1917 at Maud. She moved with her family to the Moorewood Community when she was six years old. She attended grade school at Texoma and graduated from Hammon High School. Following graduation she married Paul (Jake) Stice at Sayre, June 11, 1935. They continued to live in the Moorewood community until her death on Sunday, March 26, 1989 at the age of 71. She made a profession of faith at a young age and was baptized in 1935. She was a member of the Moorewood Missionary Baptist Church where she was a very active member until her illness prevented her from participating on a regular basis. She was alway active in Bible School Work. She worked for many years at different businesses in the Hammon Community, along with being a full time farmer' s wife. She was preceded in death by her parents, and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband, Jake of the home; one son, John and his wife, Betty; two brothers, Steve Sharp of Hammon and Paul Sharp of Amarillo, Texas; two sisters, Vivian Sharp of Oklahoma City, and Grace Cordum of Stockton, California; two brothers-in-law, Charles Stice of Elk City and Leslie Stice of Urbana, Illinois; four granddaughters, Rhonda Wells of Arlington, Texas, Krista Martin of Yukon, Sharla Kauk of Leedey and Maria Beavers of Waynesboro, Tennessee; also by nine great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
