Bowman July 15, 1890 in Clay County, Texas. She moved with her family to Oklahoma in 1900. There were five children born to this union, 1 preceding her in death, leaving her husband, and four children to mourn her departure form this life being Bessie Cloud of California, Nellie Armstrong of Butler, Oklahoma, Harvey Bowman also of California, Haskell Bowman of Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Mary Alice Bowman joined the Dunkard church in 1888 and has been faithful to her Lord and Master to the end. She was a faithful loving wife and mother, always thinking of her home and family. She was loved by all who kenw her and always lent a willing hand to those round her. The remains were taken to Butler where a large host of friends had gathered to pay the last tribute of respect. After the servicxes were conducted by Rev. J.A. Rott of Carpenter, Oklahoma, the remains were laid to rest in the beautiful little cemetery known as the Edwardsville cemetery, Butler,Custer County, Oklahoma overlooking the old home.
