Sutton, 74, of Oklahoma City went to be with his Lord on May 30, 1997. Born on March 18, 1923 in Cheyenne, Okalhoma in Roger Mills County, to L.F. and Johnnie Sutton. He graduated from Cheyenne High School, entered into the Army and served in World War II. Landed in Normandy on D-Day with the 146th Combat Engineer Battalion. After the war, he returned to Oklahoma and made his home with his mother and attended OSU for 2 years. Thomas was self- employed as a master carpenter. He married judy Martin in October of 1950 and was departed in death on November 1, 1995. He was a 32nd Degree Mason of the Uriah Lodge in Wheatland, Oklahoma. Survivors include 2 sisters, Willie Mae Owens of Elk City and Lillie Faye Roundtree of Hobbs, New Mexico; 2 brothers, Dallas M. Sutton of Shattuck, Oklahoma, and youngest brother, L.E. Sutton of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, also Kenny and Mike Martin of Oklahoma City, Okalhoma, Denny Johnson of California, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Uncle "T" stood for family, love, peace, and harmony. Services were held at 12:00 noon, on Tuesday, June 3, 1997 at the South Colonial Chapel. Burial folllowed at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
