Obit for Mrs. Jessie Elena Steere

Mrs. Jessie Elena Steere was born March 3, 1870 in Quincy, Illinois and passed 
away February 18, 1965 in the Hobart General Hospital at the age of 94 years 11 
months and 15 days. 

October 5, 1886 she was married to Solon R. Steere in Boliet, Kansas and later 
they moved to Eagle City, Oklahoma then in 1926 they moved to Cheyenne where she 
made her home until the past few years when she was in the Hobart Nursing Home.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband, 1 brother and 1 sister.

She was a member of the First Baptist church since childhood.

Survivors are 1 daughter, Mrs. Bessie Woodcock, LeeRoy, Kansas, Two sons, Thomas 
Harold Steere, Sayre, Oklahoma, Scott Steeere of Cheyenne; 10 grandchildren: 
21 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren.  Host of other relatives 
and friends.

Services were Saturday, February 20, 1965 at 2:30 p.m at the First Baptist 
Church in Cheyenne, Oklahoma.

Interment was in the Cheyenne cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills Coiunty, Oklahoma 
with the Rose chapel Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
