Obit for James William Swartwood

James William Swartwood was born August 11, 1905, to Mr. and Mrs. F.G. Swartwood 
and departed this life September 18, 1961 after several years illness.

He was married to Naomi Maddux January 15, 1933.  He was in business in Cheyenne 
until forced by illness to retire.

Bill, as he was know to his family and friends, was a friend to all, and always 
ready to hlep others.  The best portion of hisd life are his little namless 
unremembered acts of kindness and of love.

Bill accepted Christ at The First Baptist Church at Crawford when he was 17 
years old.

His mother preceded him in death.  He leaves to mourn his passing, his father 
F.G. Swartwood of Sayre; three sisters, Mrs. Luther Hughes of Sayre; Mrs. 
Gilbert Anderson of Nampa, Idaho; and Mrs. Ruth Ladd of Fresno, California;
four brothers, Edgar of Wichita Falls, Texas; Everett of Cheyenne; 
Haskell of Sayre; and Glen of Oklahoma City; and his wife, Naomi, who faithfully
attended him through the years of his illness; and a host of other relatives 
and friends.

He was laid to rest in the Cheyenne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, 
Oklahoma, September 20, 1961 with Scroggins Funeraal Home in charge.  
Services were conducted at the Methodist church in Cheyenne with Bro. Lloyd Marin 
and Bro. Clayton Hughes in charge.
