Michael Larson officiating. Interment will follow in the Mulberry Cemetery, Sweetwater, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Martin Funeral Home of Elk City. Lucile Mildred Stewart was born December 22, 1912 at Elk City to S.T. and Emma Elizabeth Hatfield Royce and died Friday January 28, 2005 at the age of 92. Lucile graduated from Elk City High School and then continued her education at college in Oklahoma and California. She was married to Grady Stewart on October 17, 1936 at Elk City. She taught school at Pie Flat and Meridian Schools and California where she retired. In 1942, they moved to California from Sweetwater where Lucile also worked for Field's Enterprises and McDonnell Douglas Aircraft during World War II. They returnrf to Elk City in 1973. She was active member of the Fairview Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two infant children; Three brothers and one grandson. Survivors include eight children, Grady Patrick Stewart of Wheeling, West Virginia, Mary Jean Stewart of McLean, Virginia, Robert Richard Stewart of Long Beach, California, Margaret Catherine Kehler of Marietta, Georgia, Judith Ann Stewart-Givan of Elk City, Harriet Louise Cambridge of Seattle, Washington, Martin Wayne Stewart of El Paso, Texas, and Gail Lynn Hand of Grand Fork, North Dakota; one brother, Ted Royce and wife Catherine of Elk City; two sisters-in-law, Carolyn Royce of Houston, Texas and Ruby Royce of Pampa, Texas; 16 grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
