She departed this life at 7:30 p.m. at Elk City, Oklahoma, December 29, 1958 at the age of 68 years, 1 month and 24 days. She was united in marriage to John J. Simpson, February 14, 1909. Her husband preceded her in death May 31, 1932. To this union were born two children, one son and one daughter. She accepted Christ as her Saviour and united with the Baptist church at an early age. She leaves to mourn her passing the daughter, Mrs. Ethel Lucas of Craawford, the son, Robert L. Simpson of Sunray, Texas, one sister, Mr. Belle McPherson of Ontario, California, five brothers, R.A. Nix, Snyder, W.O. Nix, Hennepan, Oklahoma, Calvin Nix, McAlester, Oklahoma, Tom Nix, Wichita Falls, Texas, Carl Nix, Snyder, Oklahoma; her step mother Nannie Hinson, Canute, Oklahoma, six grandchildren seven great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
