Simpson was a passenger in a car driven by Jerry Ray Campbell, 20 year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Elzie Campbell of Cheyenne. Another passenger in the car was 19-year-old Gary Robinson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Delmar Robinson of Strong City. The accident occured on U.S. 283, sout the the Packsaddle bridgeabout five miles north of Roll. For some reason the auto went out of control, hit a bridge bannister, bounced across to the other side of the highway, shot into a ditch and overtruned three times. The car was a total wreck. Both Campbell and Robinson suffered severe lacerations and bruises but their condition is not serious. Both are in the Cheyenne hospital. T.J. Muskc of Cheyenne and J.A. Wood of Reydon were closxe behind the Campbell car and reported the accidnt. An ambulance was summoned and the three boys were brought to the Cheyenne hospital. Simpson who never regained consciousness died about 7 o;clock Sunday morning. Simpson whose funeral services were held Wednesday in the local Baptist church was an orphan boy. He had made his home with Mr. an d Mrs. Maynaard Brigham since the passing of his parents in 1955. He graduated from the Cheyenne high school where he was actrive in athletics. His ability to make the best of conditions and his aim to do his best won for him the admiration and respect of all. Services were held Wednesday in the local Baptist church for Donald Dee Simpson who died early Sunday morning, July 4, 1961 as the result of an auto accident. Rev. Laddie Adams officiated at the services. Committal was in the Silent Home cemetery, Roll, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under direction of Scroggins of Cheyenne. Donald Dee Simpson was born at Strong City September 9, 1940. He was a member of the Baptist church. Immediate survivors are two brothers, Charlie E. of Amarillo, Texas and James L. of Elk City, and two sisters, Leona Laine, Altus and Jaquita Simpson of Elk City. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
