He died June 3, 1981, at the age of seventy-one years ten months, one week, and two days. John spent his youth on Long Creek Northwest of Reydon. But for many years he lived in Reydon. Instiutions, landmarks, and fixtures pass on, so do people. John was buried in Union Cha;e Cemetery, our little country graveyard near his parents and not far from where he was born and raised. John's parents came over from Sweden somehwere near the turn of the century. They raised their family on a farmstead near the head of Long Creek. It was unique for it looked like a little bit of Sweden. ( I though it was beautiful from my side of the hill.) Ollie and Frendirka raised four boys and two daughters. They are Joel, Arthur, Paul, Sophia Bushman, John and Lula Belle Coons. All have preceded him in death except Paul who lives in Leeds, North Dakota. Paul went to North Dakota in the late twenties or early thirties. Earlier times his home and family were at Devil's Lake, North Dakota. Paul was one of the earlies (Maybe first) who went out and Criss- Crossed our U.S. with custom combines. He was interviewed by the Reader's Digest. Their article brought mail from all over the states and from many foregin lands. Many people share memories with Paul as well as sympathy. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
