He departed this life February 1, 1960 at his home in Cheyenne after a long illness. He was married to Ruthey Johnson at Clarksville, Texas on October 15, 1904. To this union seven children were born all of whom with the mother survive. He moved to Cheyenne in 1902 then moved back to Clarksville Texas for a bried stay, returned back to Cheyenne where he lived unil his death. He was a long time meber of the Church of Christ of Cheyenne. He was a devoted husband a most loving father. In life he was happy and contented. In sickness he was patient and loving, and in death, with Christ. He is survived by his wife of the home; three daughters, Mrs. Pearl Burns, Mrs. Vina Musick and Mrs. Goldie Putman, all of Cheyenne; four sons, Paul and Raymond of Cheyenne, Woodrow of Portales, New Mexico; and Clifford of Emmett, Idaho; two brothers, Jim and Doc of Cheyenne; a half brother, Robert E. Smith of Pampa, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Florence McDaniels of Cheyenne and Mrs. Lillian Woods of Stevenville, Texas; a half sister, Irma Brown of Amarillo, Texas; one step-brother, Henry H. Clemmons of Pampa, Texas; 25 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Albert Trent, minister, Hammon, conducted the funeral services Thursday afternoon in the Cheyenne Church of Christ. Committal was in the Cheyenne cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under direction of Scroggins of Cheyenne. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, Ok
