Patrick E. Bright. Burial will follow in the Tecumseh Mission. Gary Smith was born in Laverne on August 4, 1941 to J.P. Smith and Georgia Smith and died Wednesday June 23, 1999 at the age of 57. He worked for L&m auto and truck repair of Seminole. He was an Army Paratrooper in 1959. He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister and one aunt. Survivors include one son, Terry Smith of Leedey; four daughters, Paula Gage of Oklahoma City, Kay Kirby of Mangum, Dawn Smith of Oklahoma City, and Misti Cearlock of Elk City; four brothers, Joe Smith of Okalahoma City, Bill Smith of Clinton, Don Smith of Doles, Arkansas, and Ted Smith of Fontanam, California; and two grandsons.
