Faye Smith

MIAMI - Faye Smith, 91, died Sunday, May 16, 1999.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in Miami Cemetery with 
Elmer McLaughlin of Laketon officiating. Arrangements are by Stickley-Hill 
Funeral Directors of Canadian.

Mrs. Smith was born in Comanche County. She received her bachelor's of 
science degree from Texas Woman's University then moved to Roberts County 
in 1928 where she taught school in Miami and Canadian. She was a member of 
the First United Methodist Church in Miami.

She married Horace Smith in 1931 at Cheyenne, Okla. She was preceded in 
death by her husband in 1966 and by a son, John Horace Smith, in 1989.

Survivors include a son, Doyle Smith of Pampa; five grandchildren; and 
nine great-grandchildren.

Viewing will be from 8:30 a.m. until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

The family suggests memorials be to First United Methodist Church in 
Miami, P.O. Box 248, Miami, TX 79059.
