HAMMON MAN IS KILLED IN ACCIDENT

An automobile crash near Clinton on U.S. Highway 66, three miles west of 
Clinton, Sunday resulted in the death of Bird O. Smith, 72 years  old, of 
Hammon, Oklahoma.

The machine in which Smith was riding was driven by Earl Lovelace, 46, of 
Shamrock, Texas.  Lovelace was seriously injured.  The car collided with 
one driven by Clarence Henry Scott of Elk City at an underpass.  The 
patrolman said the Lovelace car, apparently was driving on the wrong side 
of the road.
