"Liz" Shindell Elizabeth A. "Liz" Shindell, 63, of Bloomington, Indiana died September 30, 2001, at her home. Born March 4, 1938 , in Los Angeles, California, she was the daughter of Walter Charles Tegeler and Lottie Ellen Williams Tegeler. Survivors include her husband, Winston Shindell of Bloomington: one daughter and son-in-law, Traci and Vladan jovanovic of Morris Plains, New Jersey; one son and daughter-in-law, Winston Charles "Trey" and Angie Shindell of Bowling Green, Kentucky; one brother, W.Charles Tegeler of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and three grandsons Dane, Spencer, and Marko. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Christi Beth, and her parents. In 1960 she received her B.S. degree in Home Economics from Oklahoma State University. Liz was an exemplary wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She always served her community as a tireless volunteer and a host to everyone. Her hobbies included stained glass work, gardening, sewing, knitting, traveling and gourmet cooking. She excelled in all of them. During her 15 years in Stillwater, Oklahoma she served as a rush advisor to the Tau Beta Chapter of Chi Omega Fraternity; member and president of the Chi Omega Alumni Club; member and president of Chapter BU of PEO; member and president of the Stillwater Board of Education and many leadership positions within the First Presbyterian Church of Stillwater. She also served as a Den Mother, Brownie Mother, Girl Scout Leader, PTA supporter and Home Room Mother. For the past 19 years, she has lived in Bloomington, Indiana, where she has been an active member and leader in the First united Methodist Church; a member and president of Chapter AE and PEO; member and president of the Chi Omega Alumni Club; a member of Theatre Circle; a member and president of the local Council of Women; a member of the Borad of Driectors of the Bloomington Hospital; and a member of the initial Festival of Trees Coordinating Committee.
