She grew up and attended school in Oklahoma and graudated from high school there. During high school, she enjoyed playing basketball. She was married to Charley Edgar Reed at Rankin, Oklahoma in 1932. They later divorced. She married Carl Santner in December of 1947 at Chicago, Illinois. He preceded her in death on October 12, 1973. During World War II, agnes worked in a defense plant in Chicago. She lived in Teacoma, Washington for twelve years. She also lived in Alaska and Farmington, New Mexico for a time. She moved to St. Paul, Kansas in 1971 and had lived there since. She was an active member of the St. Paul United Methodist Church and had been the church treasurer for several years. She also enjoyed playing the piano, crocheting and crossword puzzles. Agnes passed away at 8:10 a.m. Thursday, March 16, 2000 at the Prairie Mission Retirement Village in St. Paul, Kansas. She leaves to mourn her passing, one son, Don Reed of Dallas, Texas; one grandson, two step grandchildren; five step-great grandchildren; three sisters, Pansy Hardin of Quincy, Illinois, Cora Belle Tebu of Greensburg, Kansas, and Marguerite King of Chattanooga, Tennessee; several nices and nephews as well as many friends who wil miss her deeply.
