Rev. Isaac Snow officiated at the 2:00 p.m. services held at the Assembly of God Church. Alvin Leroy Snowden was born August 4, 1912, near Cheyenne, Oklahoma to Eli Ransom and Ava V. Snowden on October 12, 1934; he was married to Margie Belle Berry at Sayre, Oklahoma. They lived for a while in Reydon, Oklahoma, making their home in Erick in 1949, where they have resided until the present time, Mr. Snowden was converted in January of 1963. He was a farmer. Survivors include the wife of the home, four daughters, Ava Sailors and Donna Hugg of Lefors, Texas. Margie North and Rose M. Whitten of Erick. One son, Ransom of Erick. Five sisters, Dessie Jay, Elk City, Maudie Cupp, Eva, Oklahoma. Zell Ratliff, Oklahoma City, Lola Burch, Glove, Arizona, Norma Mullin, Delta, Colorado. One brother, Floyd Snowden of Spokane, Washington. Three half sisters, Millie Russell, Independence, Missouri, Bertie Staton, Wichita Falls, Texas, Mamie Berringer, San Angelo, Texas and one half-brother, Lawrence Snowden of Sample, Kentucky and 15 grandchildren. Pall bearers were J.P. Jones, J.B. North, Albert Lusby, Harley Swearinger, Joe Lawson and Carl Davis.
