Services were Wednesday at 1;30 p.m. at the Carter-Smart Chapel with burial in the Duncan Cemetery with the Rev. Rockford Johnson officiating and under the direction of Carter-Smart Funeral Home. Snyder was born February 7, 1915 in Rankin, Oklahoma to Henry and Blanche Wright. She attended and graduated from Reydon High School in 1933 and graduated from Hills Business College in Oklahoma City. Ruby retired March 3, 1978 after 25 years as Assistant City Clerk- Treasurer for the city of Duncan. Ruby was a charter member of Highland Park Baptist Church where she was a member. She joined the Rebekah Lodge #313 September 16, 1960 where she served a Noble Grand in 1962. Duncan consolidated with Comanche Lodge #149 where she was a member at her death. Ruby married Mayford Snyder December 14, 1973 in Wichita Falls, Texas. Mr. Snyder died April 17, 1987. Survivors include 2 sons, Danny Airlington, Duncan, Oklahoma, Dewayne Airington, Duncan; 1 sister Stella Airington, Pampa, Texas; 1 brother, H.J. Wright, Reydon, Oklahoma; grandchildren Danielle Airington, Shelly Richards, Kelly Smith, Richard Smith, Brandy Potts, Christopher Michael Stroug; great grandchildren, Billy and Jillian Rogers, Sidney Richards. She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, and 1 grandchild, Paula Ann Airington in 1966. Bearers were Bill Stroud, Eddie Hood, Bill Rice, Raymond Beck, Calvin Thompson, and Jim Carver.
