Cora grew up on a dairy farm in Moorewood, where she graduated from the eighth grade. She went on to continue her education at Weatherford before graduating from Leedey High School. In 1935, Cora married Thom Snider in Hammon, Oklahoma and they lived in Leedey for a short time before moving to Webb, Oklahoma where they remained for 9 years. In 1947, they moved to Elk City, Oklahoma to make their home. Cora was a member of the Eastside Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one daughter, Colene, 2 sisters and 4 brothers. She is survived by two daughters, Anna Mae Harrell, El Reno, Oklahoma and Ruby Bell Talley, Tyler, Texas; one son, Thomas Lee Snider, Perry, Oklahoma; one sister, Annie A. Smith, Fresno, California; one brother Louise Bell, San Diego, California; 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. Services were held at 2;00 p.m. Monday, March 18, 1996 in the Whinery-Savage Chapel with Rev. Henry Fletcher, officiating.
