She passed away on October 15, 1982, after a short illness at the age of 70 years. She moved to Norman in 1968, after the death of her husband Eldon Shinault. She had worked in the Service Department of Western Electric for many years and was a member of the First Christian Church of Elk City. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldon Shinault; one brother Cecil Jackson; and her parents. She is survived by a daughter, Judi Greer and family of Kermit, Texas; a son Jerry Shinault and family of Noble, Oklahoma; three brothers, Troy Jackson, El Monte, California and Leon and Everett Jackson of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; two sisters, Clara Beckel of Durham,. Oklahoma and Leona Mitchell of Little Rock, Arkansas; six grandchildren, and one great grandchild Services were held at 10:00 a.m. October 18, 1982 from Crystal Chapel with Rev. Hugh Collett of Sulphur, Oklahoma officiating. Betty Sullivan was the organist and Debbie Brown was the soloist. Vocal selections were "How Great Thou Art." "Just a Closer Walk With Thee." Wilson Funeral service of Noramn, Oklahoma was in charge of the service. Graveside Services were held at 2:00 p.m. October 18, 1982 at Fairlawn Cemetery, Elk City, Oklahoma.
