Oma grew up at the Durham Community. She married L.H. Swartwood on July 12, 1928 in Wheeler, Texas and they lived in Cheyenne until moving to Sayre in 1937 to make their home. She attended the Primitive Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 5 sisters and 3 brothers. She is survived by 1 sister, Nora Nicholson and, Orville of Grass Valley, California, 2 brothers-in-law, John School of Satana, Kansas and Everett Swartwood and wife Henryetta, Cheyenne, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Services were at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 1, 1997 at the Rose Chapel officiated by Marilynn Schelhamer. Interment was in the Sayre-Doxey Cemetery, Sayre, Beckahm County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
