Surnames: Schlichting, Macklin, Flenner, Schwer, Hartman Originally posted at: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.oklahoma.counties.rogermills/9060/mb.ashx *Funeral services for Mable Leona Schlichting were conducted 10 a.m. on Friday, July 10, 2009 at the Martin Funeral Chapel of Elk City with Clarence Conkle and Darrell Price officiating. Interment was at Corn Cemetery under the direction of the Martin Funeral Home of Elk City. Mable Leona Schlichting was born June 2, 1918 at Cheyenne to Harvey David and Effie (Flenner) Macklin and passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at the age of 91. She graduated from Berlin High School in 1936. Mable lived in Oklahoma City, Amarillo and Sayre before moving to Elk City in December of 1995 where she has lived since. She was a member of the Methodist Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Fred E. Schlichting, a son, her parents, 5 brothers and 2 sisters. Survivors include 2 sisters: Dorothy Schwer of Sapulpa, Oklahoma and Ruth Hartman of Slate, Texas and numerous nieces, nephews and other family.
