Funeral Services for Mrs. George Ann Swain of Sweetwater, who succumbed Friday night December 9, 1938 in an Elk City hospital, were held at 2:30 Sunday afternoon from the local First Christian Church. Rev. Forrest Wyman, pastor, officiated. Born on September 28, 1851, in Illinois, Mrs. Swain was 87 years, two months and 11 days of age at the time of her passing. She had been a member of the Christian church since early childhood. She had been a resident of western Oklahoma for the past 30 years. Survivors include: four daughters, Mrs. E.C. Smith of Elk City, Mrs. George Smith of Oklahoma City, Mrs. J.W. Maxwell of Popular Bluff, Mo., and Mrs. T.J. Logan of Meridian; and a number of other relatives.
