The daughter of pioneer family, Mary Alma Jewett and Thomas Wilbur "T.W." Silsbee, she was born Febuary 6, 1907 near Range, Oklahoma in Texas County. She was united in marriage to Albert Harold "Jobby" Tidrick on March 18, 1929. Jobby and Marie farmed south of Hardesty for more than 40 years. As a farmwife, she enjoyed gardening, handowrk, and crafts. She was a membe of Mission Apostolic Church, Hardesty. Mr. Tidrick passed away September 8, 1977. Survivors include her daughter, Virgie Thurman of Reydon, Oklahoma; three grandchildren, Melvena and husband, John Heisch of Oklahoma City; Marika and Harold Thurman of Topkea, Kansas and Charlotte and Johnny Nance of Enid, Oklahoma; six great grandchildren, Laura Marie Nance, John Nance, Derek Thurman, Amanda Thurman nd Vanessa and Camille Eichorn. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three sisters and two brothers. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon, February 14, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Apostolic Faith Church with Rev. Jack Cornell, pastor of Midway Church, officiating. Interment followed in Hartville Cemetery in Hardesty under the direction of Henson-Novak Funeral Directors of Guymon.
