Tullis were conducted Thursday at 2:00 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Marietta with Rev. Tommy Higle, Pastor, officiating. Born December 23, 1911 at Rhea, the son of John and Ada Owens Tullis, he died April 7, 1987 in the Gainvesville Memorial Hospital, Gainesville, Texas. He and Mabel Williams were married January 4, 1936 in Taloga and they had been residents of Mariett since 1952, moving here from Leedey. Mr. Tullis retired in 1974 afer operating the Tullis Grocery Store. He was a deacon in Marietta;s First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mabel Tullis of the home; one son, Ralph Wayne Tullis of Marietta; one daughter, Mrs. Yvonne Fleming of Frisco, Texas; four brothers, Raymond Tullis of Leedey, and Clifford Tullis, Ernest Tullis and John L. Tullis of Oklahoma City; one sister, Mrs. Hazel Watson of Eufaula, four grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Mr. Tullis was preceded in death by two brothers, Leonard Tullis and Richard Tullis. Interment in Lakeview Cemetery was under the direction of Anderson- Kennedy Funeral Home. Serving as pallbearers were: Wade Moore, Robert Porter, Olen Bond, Bud Cochran, Tup Robertson, and Ralph Bloomer. Honorary pallbearers were: Alvin Hilton, Tom Tomlinson, Bud Barnes Nay Benich, Ray Hilton, Herman Robertson, Beeler Blue and Hobart Fannin. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, Ok 14-May-1987
