She passed away at her home in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, February 11, 1981 at the age of 84. Mrs Taylor lived in Texas as a small child, she moved to Fargo, Oklahoma in 1907m, then to Roger Mills County, Oklahoma until in 1948 when she moved to Lookeba in 1974 she moved to Oklahoma City and had lived there until her death. Lena and Nat Taylor were united in marriage May 30, 1914 at Cheyenne, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death August 16, 1976 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Mrs Taylor worked in the County Clerk Office at the Court house in Oklahoma City for five years. She also owned and operated Lena's Laundry in Lookeba for many years. Lena was a member of the Hinton Eastern Star, Past Worthy Matron, Rebecca Lodge in Lookeba, White Shrinners, D.A.R's. and also Ruth Bryan Owen Club. Mrs. Taylor was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors are one son, Nat M. Taylor of Stillwater, Oklahoma; five daughters, Fleta Archer, Amarillo, Texas; Frances Osborne, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; Lena Smith, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma Dena Mahoney of Wichita, Kansas; Clara Gesell, Midwest City, Oklahoma. Seventy-five grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved her and will miss her very much. Three brothers, Ansyl Dean of Pacific Grove, California; Ray Dean of Shattuck, Oklahoma; John Dean, Wichita, Kansas. Three sisters: Monty Barnett of Hoolywood, California; Nettie of New Mexico, Febee of California. Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her husband, former Senator Nat M. Taylor. Services will be at the United Methodist Church in Lookeba at 11:00 a.m. Friday February 13, 1981 Rev. W.W. Stephens officiating. Burial will be in the Lookeba Cemetery under the direction of the Hinton Turner Funeral Home. Mr. Nat Taylor taught many years in the Roger Mills County Schools in 1940. Those attending the funeral from Roger Mills County included a sister-in-law, Mrs. Addie Brothers, Nieces, Mrs. Lee Roark and Mrs. Eugene Stamper all of Cheyenne and a nephew, Frank Dean of Sayre.
