She was 74 years, 1 month and 25 days old. Irene was a person of many talents, endless energy and deep kindness. She bore two children, twins Sammie Lou Taylor Blasdel, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Billy Lloyd Taylor Belle Plains. Her children grew up together, as twins do, in Oklahoma and Kansas, where both their parents taught school for many years. Irene taught Third Grade in Belle Plaine Elementary School for 17 years. As someone said, the life of a teacher touches almost innumerable lives. Almost everyone in Belle Plaine under 30 years old passed through her classroom and left her firm hand and her loving care. The grandchildren, Children of Sammie and Billy, were the light of Irene's life. Sammie's children are: Joe Vincent, Quincie Rae, and Samantha Lou Blasdel. Billy's are: Todd Sheldon, Tomma Allen. Above all Irene Taylor was a homemaker, a delightful mother, and a loving wife. She and Lloyd Clifton Taylor were married at Cheyenne, Oklahoma, on July 20, 1927. Her parents were James Will Thomas and Fannie Mae Dunn Thomas, of Durham, Oklahoma, where Irene was born on June 27, 1906. She grew up in a close family of brothers and sisters. Her brother Vint lives in Balki, Oklahoma; her brother Bruce lives in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. Her sister Pauline Thomas Cordell lives in Cheyenne, Oklahoma; her sister Katura Thomas Powers lives in Midwest City, Oklahoma. Irene's parents and two brothers Bufford and James Will, preceded her in death. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
