Taylor, 66, of Lexington, Oklahoma, Thursday, December 12, 1991 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, with Father Richard Beckman officiating. Interment was held Friday, December 23, 1991 at 1 p.m. in the Ft. Gibson National Cemetery. Mr. Taylor died Sunday, December 8, 1991 in the Veterans Administration hospital in Oklahoma City. He was born April 29, 1925 in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. He grew up there and graduated from Cheyenne High School in 1941. He received a bachelor's degree in Arts and Allied Legal Services from the University of Central Florida in Sanford, Florida. Mr. Taylor retired as Chief Warrant Officer from the U.S. Marines after serving 33 years. He served in World War II, Korea and Vietnam. In 1980, he moved to Lexington Assessment and Receiving Center as population coordinator for the past ten years. He was a member of the Retired Marine Officers Association, Disabled American Veterans, Norman Moose Lodge, McAlester Elks Lodge and Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church. Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Basin of the home; two sisters, Ann Damron of Cheyenne, Oklahoma and Inis Griffith of Chillicothe, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James D., Sr. and Marie Taylor and one brother, Billie Taylor.
