Taylor was born December 20, 1899, in Hill county, Texas; he passed away November 13, 1951, at the age of 51 years, in a Lubbock, Texas, hospital. He was married to Lou Rett Morrow on March 10, 1918. To this union were born five children. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. L.L. Taylor,Smyer, Texas; two sons, L.D. Taylor, Smyer, Richard N. Taylor, Tuscumbra, Alabama; three daughters, Mrs. Shelby Davis, Mrs. Hayden Sheeban, Los Angles, and Mrs. Coleman Lemmons, Oklahoma City, 11 grandchildren; five sisters, Mrs. Verda Carraway, Mrs. Hubert Smith, Mrs. Jewell Vinson, Los Angeles, California, Miss Clara Taylor, Hammon, Mrs. Lora Farni, Oregon; one brother, Herbert Taylor, Los Angeles; one uncle, Ira E. Banks, Lubbock, and numerous other relatives and friends. Services were conducted at Smyer, Texas, on Friday, November 16, 1951 at 2:30 p.m. Burial was in Smyer Cemetery. All immediate family was present except a daughter, Mrs. Lemmons, and one sister, Mrs. Farni, who were unable to be at the service. Attending from Hammon were Clara Taylor; Messes and Mmes. Chester Mathews, Dillard Mathews, Floyd Bush, H.M. Cope, Linda and Mary Ann; Mrs. James L. Allen, and Elmer Lount.
