She grew up on the family farm west of Leedey and on May 19, 1934, married Carroll Thomas Thompson in Cheyenne, Oklahoma. They made their home in the Geary, Oklahoma vicinity since 1941. Thelma was a member of the Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed working in her garden and growing flowers. Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Earl and Aubra Dean; an infant sister, an infant daughter, twin grandsons, and two other grandsons. She is survived by her husband, Carroll of the home, Geary; three sons, Forrest and his wife, Barbara Thompson of El Reno, Oklahoma, James and his wife, Beverly Thompson of Watonga, Tennessee; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; four sisters, Myrtle Smith of Stockton, California, Bethel Ridgeway of Red Bluff, California, Viola Tomerlin of Portland, Oregon, and Betty White of Hillsboro, Iowa; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Funeral services was at 2;00 p.m., Friday March 13, 1998, First Baptist church, Geary, Oklahoma with Rev. Calvin Walker and Rev. Darrell Campbell, officiating.
