Stauber on December 24, 1905, at Roll, Oklahoma. To this union were born 5 children. They are: Ruth Blackstop, Lames, Texas; Ena Hobby, Eespanola, New Mexico; Bobbi Wooten, Avant, Oklahoma; Margie Martin, who resides on the Oklahoma place near Roll, and J.W. Stauber of Weatherford, Oklahoma. She also leaves 18 grandchildren and one great greatchild; one sister, Ada Porter of Canadian, Texas; and four brothers. They are: Will Thompson of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; S.C. Thompson and Dr. Lewis Thompason of Granda, Colorado; and Wallace Thompson of McAlester, Oklahoma, and a host of other relatives and friends. Her husband preceded her in death in November 1947. She has been a very devoted Christian since her youth, and was a loving mother and companion. She was another of our pioneer mothers who with endless toils with each day's sun smiling when the day's work was done, played with the children--had time for fun; never gave up until the battle was won. She's now gone to God's land beyond rainbow's bend, living in peace, where weaty toil all end.
