Esther lived in Weleeka until moving to San Pedro, California in 1942 to work in the shipyards during World War II. She returned to Oklahoma in 1944, residing in Oklahoma City where she worked as a waitress and attended Balckwood Secretial School. She was employed for a short time as a secretary for an oil company before waitressing at Bishop's Restaruant and Herman's Seafood House. In 1970, she moved to Sayre and began working at Town Hall Estates Nursing Home. Esther married Orren Thompson on September 21, 1971 in Sayre where they remaine duntil July of 1976 when they moved to Roger Mills County to farm and raise cattle. She was a member of the Shattuck Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, 10 brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband Orren, 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Carole Ann and Del Carson, Calumet, Oklahoma, Darias and Jerry Meler, Weatherford, Oklahoma, 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin and Terri Allen, Albuquerque, New Mexico, Charles and Rose Holdstock, Edmond, Oklahoma, 2 sisters, Maude Roberts, Ardmore, Oklahoma, Barbara Bauslog, Lodi, Oklahoma, 1 brother, Lige Womack, Newcastle, Oklahoma, 12 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Interment Cheyennne Cemetery, Cheyenne, Roger Mills County, Oklahoma under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service, Cheyenne, Oklahoma.
