View, Oklahoma Territory to May Ella and James Marion Thompson. He passed away February 21, 2001 in Erick, Oklahoma at the age of 100 years and 17 days. They moved to the Sweetwater community in late 1901 just south of the "Sunshine" Ranch headquarters. They later moved to the Meridian community where they grew up around the Wilson Round Top School. He pastored several Assembly of God Churches in western Oklahoma. In 1967 he moved to Sayre to make his home. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Alpha Corene Thompson, five brothers and two sisters. Survivors include one brother, Marvin Thompson and wife, Allene of Paradise, Texas; three nieces; Laurellen Witt, Sweetwater, Oklahoma, Dolores McKay, Borger, Texas; and Peggy Dunlap, Sayre, Oklahoma; eight nephews: Monte Jones, Louisiana, Billy Jones, Del City, Oklahoma, Wayne Jones, McLoud, Oklahoma, Virgil Thompson, California, L. Dean Thompson, Broger, Texas, Bob Thompson, Sweetwater, Oklahoma, Raymond Cardin, McLoud, Oklahoma, Max Thompson, Paradise, Texas and one sister-in-law, Iva Thompson, Sweetwater, Oklahoma and a host of great and great-great nieces and nephews as well as a host of relatives and friends. Services were held Saturday February 24, 1=2001 at 2;00 p.m. at Sweetwater Assembly of God Church, officiated by Mike Mong and Rev. J.M. Ashley. Interment was in the Buffalo Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service, Sayre, Oklahoma. Cheyenne Star, Cheyenne, OK
